About

Giselle Cortés grew up in San Diego, California, born to two loving parents, and has two younger sisters. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. Giselle attended a Catholic elementary school and a local high school. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from San Diego State University (SDSU) and holds a Master's degree in Public Health. Giselle endured seven years of medical challenges stemming from Cushing’s Syndrome before finally receiving her correct diagnosis. She knows firsthand what it’s like to live with a rare and misunderstood condition.

Through her work, she aims to raise awareness about Cushing’s Syndrome, encourage self-advocacy, and inspire others to keep faith during life’s most difficult moments. She deeply empathizes with those in similar situations and continues on her own journey of healing.

She is happily married, and is the mother of two young daughters. In her free time, Giselle enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, exercising, and traveling to new places.
